The South Carolina Gamecocks have some holes to fill in their secondary, and they picked up a player who could help with that on Monday.

South Carolina native Elijah Rodgers, who played last season for Gardner-Webb and started his college career at Indiana, is heading back to his home state.

As you can see below, the talented cornerback announced via Twitter that he was joining coach Will Muschamp and the Gamecocks:

Rodgers will be a walk-on player for the Gamecocks, so we’ll see what sort of role he earns for himself during the summer session.

Coming out of high school in Blacksburg, Rodgers was a 3-star cornerback, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.
