Former South Carolina LB TJ Brunson suffers season-ending injury in NFL preseason game
Unfortunate news out of New York to pass along. TJ Brunson’s 2021 season is already over.
ESPN’s Jordan Raanan is reporting that the former South Carolina linebacker tore his left ACL in the Giants’ preseason game against the Jets.
After four seasons at South Carolina, Brunson was selected by the Giants in the seventh round of the 2020 NFL Draft with the No. 238 overall pick. Brunson made his NFL regular-season debut on Oct. 22, 2020 when the Giants played the Eagles. He played five games total in his rookie season, recording 3 tackles.
