The Will Muschamp era at South Carolina officially ended on Sunday evening.

With Muschamp gone, the team’s offensive coordinator Mike Bobo has been named interim coach in Columbia.

Following the news, South Carolina AD Ray Tanner issued the following statement on Sunday evening:

“After a thorough assessment of our football program, we have decided to make a change with the head football coach. I appreciate all that Will Muschamp has done for our program and wish him and his family the best moving forward. I believe our program will be well served by Coach Bobo as the interim head coach as we search for a new leader for Gamecock Football.”

On Monday morning, Tanner, Bobo, and a couple of football student-athletes will have a media availability on Monday, November 16, at 10 a.m. ET to discuss the Gamecock football coaching situation.
