South Carolina QB Jake Bentley didn’t have the biggest day of any SEC quarterback on Saturday, but his performance came in a huge game for the Gamecocks.

Bentley threw for 215 yards, three touchdowns and one interception during South Carolina’s 35-28 win over North Carolina State.

That performance against NC State in Charlotte was enough for CBS analyst Gary Danielson to declare on Wednesday’s episode of “The Paul Finebaum Show” that he believes Bentley is the best quarterback in the SEC:

Bentley could be in for another big day on Saturday, as his Gamecocks travel to take on the Missouri Tigers — a team that gave up nearly 500 yards of offense to an FCS opponent last week.

However, Bentley’s defense will also have its hands full, as Mizzou QB Drew Lock threw for a school-record 521 yards and seven touchdowns in Week 1.
