Former South Carolina DB Jaycee Horn has revealed which number he’ll wear during his upcoming rookie season with the Carolina Panthers.

With the caption of “new beginnings,” Horn shared the news on Instagram. After a recent rule change, cornerbacks can now wear single digit numbers, and he’ll wear No. 8.

Picked No. 8 overall, Horn told the Panthers’ official site that he’s ready for the pressure of being a high pick.

Horn said that as the son of former Saints wideout Joe Horn, that meant there was never a day when he could let up in practice, because everyone was watching his every move.

“Growing up in Atlanta, especially being Joe Horn’s son, you had to be some kind of dog because everybody’s going to be at your neck,” Horn said Friday.

Horn has already faced much of the competition he will meet in the NFL, including first-rounders from Alabama Jaylen Waddle and DeVonta Smith, along with new Falcons tight end Kyle Pitts from Florida.
