South Carolina added another huge piece to its 2020 recruiting class Wednesday morning as the nation’s No. 1 JUCO running back ZaQuandre White committed to and signed with the Gamecocks.

The 6-foot-2, 205-pound back attended Iowa Western Community College, and he’s the No. 15 overall JUCO player in the nation, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.

South Carolina shared the news about his signing via social media.

Remember, South Carolina already has the nation’s No. 5 overall running back in 4-star MarShawn Lloyd, who’s the highest-rated signee in the 2020 recruiting class. White only adds to the backfield, which also signed 3-star Rashad Amos.

Tavien Feaster, Rico Dowdle, Mon Denson and AJ Turner are all gone now, and the Gamecocks had to replace their production. Signing the trio will add instant-impact ability in Columbia.

Exiting high school, White originally signed with Florida State in the class of 2017; however, he had to take the JUCO route. Last year at Iowa Western, White averaged over 100 yards rushing in every game and scored 10 rushing touchdowns.
