Spencer Rattler isn’t the only Oklahoma Sooner taking his talents to Columbia. OU tight end Austin Stogner is also transferring to play for Shane Beamer’s Gamecocks.

This season, Stogner caught 14 passes for 166 yards and 3 touchdowns. Like Rattler, Stogner spent 3 years in Norman. Over the 2019 and 2020 seasons, which overlaps with South Carolina coach Shane Beamer’s time as an OU assistant (2018-20), Stogner played in 22 games, posting 33 catches for 488 yards and 5 touchdowns. Stogner’s most productive year was 2020 (26 catches, 422 yards, 3 TDs) when he was named second-team All-Big 12 by the Associated Press.

Stogner’s Oklahoma bio notes he was a 4-star recruit in the class of 2019 with offers from Alabama, Michigan, Texas A&M and others.
