After starting his college football career playing for Will Muschamp’s program, a South Carolina running back is reportedly looking at finishing it elsewhere. According to AL.com’s Matt Zentiz, Deshaun Fenwick has entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

Entering the portal allows players such as Fenwick to be contacted and recruited by other programs but they are not bound to leave the program. Players have the option to withdraw from the portal and rejoin the teams.

A 3-star APB prospect out of Bradenton, Florida, Fenwick signed with the Gamecocks as part of the 2018 class. He had nine other scholarship offers, including Georgia, Mizzou and Ole Miss.

He has played in 15 games over the last three seasons, with 8 of those appearances coming in 2020. This past season, he carried the ball 54 times for 297 yards and a touchdown. He also caught 14 passes for 108 yards.
