The South Carolina Gamecocks have produced a number of talented wide receivers in recent memory, from Alshon Jeffery to Deebo Samuel to Bryan Edwards and others.

On Saturday, the Gamecocks landed a transferring wide receiver from Division II Wingate. He also spent the spring semester of last year at Tarleton State.

As you can see below, Jalen Brooks took to Twitter on Saturday to announce his decision to commit to coach Will Muschamp’s program:

In 2 seasons at Wingate, Brooks made 50 catches for 998 yards and 9 touchdowns. He is a native of North Carolina.

He’ll have 2 seasons of eligibility remaining, but at this point, it is unclear if he’ll get a waiver to play right away or if he’ll have to sit out the 2020 season.
