South Carolina’s secondary took a hit during this past weekend’s game against Florida.

Gamecocks safety Jaylin Dickerson exited the 35-31 loss with a hamstring injury. On Tuesday, coach Will Muschamp said during his press conference with the media that Dickerson will be out for this Saturday’s game against Chattanooga.

Dickerson has 11 tackles in four games this season. He had a season-high six tackles before leaving with the injury against Florida.

Muschamp also said that defensive end Aaron Sterling will “probably not be back this week” as he still deals with a knee injury.

Sterling has 15 tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery this season, but he hasn’t played since Oct. 13 against Texas A&M, missing the last two games due to injury.

South Carolina is 5-4 entering its home matchup against Chattanooga. The Gamecocks and the Mocs are set to kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.
