South Carolina vs. Vanderbilt may not have been on Week 4’s marquee games, but Pro Football Focus was watching. And PFF is saying that South Carolina DT Javon Kinlaw had the country’s best individual performance in Week 4.

In South Carolina’s 37-14 win over Vanderbilt, Kinlaw recorded five total tackles, including twp sacks and three tackles-for-loss as well as a pass break-up. PFF gave Kinlaw a grade of 97.1, the highest individual performance grade in the country, according to Gamecock Central.

Even more impressive is that Kinlaw logged the above numbers despite missing the fourth quarter game following a play where he was tackled from behind. There is already good news, however, as the report notes he has been cleared to play in Week 5 against Kentucky.

The Gamecocks will need another big game from Kinlaw against the Wildcats. UK is coming off a 28-7 upset win against No. 14 Mississippi State. Kentucky RB Benny Snell accounted for all four Cats touchdowns.
