How many games will South Carolina win in 2018?

Former Auburn coach and current SEC Network analyst Gene Chizik predicted the Gamecocks’ season game by game.

The media picked the Gamecocks to finish second in the SEC East behind Georgia at SEC Media Days, but some think USC will pull the upset against Georgia in Week 2. Getting the Bulldogs early (and at home) would bode well for an upset bid, and if that happens, look it.

Chizik, however, doesn’t think South Carolina will beat UGA, saying, “I’m going to have to go with an L. I know it’s going to be a close game. There’s going to be a lot of talk about it. Georgia’s offense is just too good. It’s going to take a little bit for T-Rob and Will (Muschamp) to get re-calibrated from last year. I think Georgia’s just a little bit above what they’re ready for.”

Following the loss to Georgia, the former Auburn head coach has South Carolina reeling off seven wins in a row that begins with Marshall and ends with Ole Miss. Chizik has the Gamecocks losing on the road to Florida and to Clemson to finish off the season. 9-3 overall.
