South Carolina women’s basketball punched its ticket back to the Final Four Monday evening, downing 2-seed Maryland 86-75 for a trip to Dallas.

The Gamecocks are the definition of unstoppable right now. They’ve now won 42 straight games and have come away victorious in 59 of their last 60 games. And a vast, vast majority of those 59 wins have not even been close. Only 5 teams have lost by less than 10 points to Dawn Staley’s squad this season.

The duo of Aliyah Boston and Zia Cooke are a big part of the reason why. Both shined Monday night against the Terrapins, combining to score 40 points. Boston led the way for the Gamecocks with a 22-point, 10-rebound double-double. Maryland’s Diamond Miller finished with 24 points on the evening.

With the win, South Carolina travels to Dallas with a date against an incredible Iowa squad featuring perhaps the best player in the country: Caitlin Clark. An elite defense vs. one of the greatest offensive players to do it this century. Get your popcorn ready.

Only 2 more games stand between South Carolina and its 2nd straight national title and 3rd in school history. Iowa and LSU punched their tickets Sunday, while one of Virginia Tech and Ohio State will vie for the final spot in the late slot Monday night.

History is on South Carolina’s side. Can the Gamecocks repeat as national champs?
