South Carolina QB commit Ryan Hilinski reaffirms pledge following late push by Stanford
Ryan Hilinski’s recruitment has picked up in recent weeks, including an offer from an in-state school, yet the South Carolina quarterback commit has reaffirmed his pledge with the Gamecocks.
He told SportsTalkSC that he remains firm with the Gamecocks despite the late push from Stanford to go with other offers that include Ohio State, Southern Cal, LSU, Ole Miss and Oregon State among 25 offers.
He plans to not only visit for this week’s Tennessee game, the family plans to buy a house in the Columbia area.
It was recently announced that Hilinski would play in a first-ever international all-star game put on by the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and to be played in Mexico City on Dec. 22. It’s named the Pro Football Hall of Fame World All-Star Bowl.
Hilinski is a 4-star recruit, according to 247 Sports, and is 6-foot-4, 237 pounds. He’s from Orange, California.
He’s ranked the No. 2 pro-style QB in this class, the No. 8 overall player in California and No. 49 overall player in America for the 2019 class.
Hilinskii said he'll be joined on the visit by his parents and they plan to purchase their house in Columbia while on this visit.
