South Carolina QB Ryan Hilinski goes down in pain after being hit in knee by Georgia defender
South Carolina freshman QB Ryan Hilinski has been banged up this year and was battling a knee injury against Georgia on Saturday.
In the third quarter, he took a brutal hit to the knee and went down in a lot of pain. He had to be helped off the field and into the medical tent.
The play was flagged for roughing the passer, but it doesn’t appear there was any malicious intent.

Here it is again:
Name a dirtier team than Georgia football. Getting spanked at home, take out the QB who’s already limping. #gamecocks #hilinski #Dawgs #Spursup #joyner pic.twitter.com/qhS8oAGu9r

Dakereon Joyner is now in the game at quarterback.
Star WR Bryan Edwards was also injured on that play, but it appears he’ll be able to return. No word on Hilinski yet.
