With SEC Media Days taking place next week in Atlanta, the 2018 season is drawing ever closer.

Now, teams are starting to announce their starting dates for fall practices, and on Sunday, the South Carolina Gamecocks did just that.

According to The State, the Gamecocks will begin fall practices on Aug. 3 — nearly a month before their first game against Coastal Carolina:

South Carolina football’s fall practice will begin on Aug. 3 as the Gamecocks get ready to face Coastal Carolina in the first game of the season on Sept. 1 at Williams-Brice Stadium.

The Gamecocks also announced that the annual Fan Appreciation Day will be held on Aug. 11 at the team’s indoor practice facility.

The game against Coastal Carolina will take place on Saturday, Sept. 1, at noon Eastern time. It can be seen on the SEC Network.
