The Gamecocks are already loaded at the QB position for the foreseeable future with Jake Bentley taking the reigns last season. Even so, South Carolina head coach Will Muschamp has done his part to make sure that there are some scary things in the pipeline at every position – and at QB, that scary thing is named Dakereon Joyner.

Joyner can be seen here casually squatting 410 lbs. as if he were doing so between classes in the hall. A quick reminder here, this guy is a high school junior, and a quarterback. Suffice it to say that he will only get stronger while in high school, let alone once he gets in Muschamp’s famous weight program.

The kid’s got wheels too. Joyner is a 6-foot-2, 200-pound dual threat QB who is talented enough to be ranked as a four-star prospect, the No. 9 player at his position and No. 223 overall in the 2018 class by 247Sports Composite. His body of work so far is good enough for a four-star ranking, and with his senior year still to come, he could be climbing up the ranks. Here are some highlight footage of what that freakish strength allows him to do on the field.

As the 2016 Gatorade Player of the Year for South Carolina, Joyner looked pretty unstoppable. If he lives up to the hype, South Carolina fans will have their QB spot locked down for the better part of a decade.
