South Carolina standout Deebo Samuel looked like a bonafide Heisman Trophy contender in 2017 prior to his season getting cut short due to a fractured fibula and a foot injury.

On Sunday, Samuel shared a video from his Twitter account of him going through quick feet drills that should make USC fans giddy. He’ll be limited for spring practice, but it’ll be great to see him back out on the field.

Samuel’s leg injury greatly affected South Carolina’s offense. In three games before he broke his leg, Samuel caught 15 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns. He also rushed for a touchdown and scored twice on kickoff returns.

No doubt Samuel’s return will make the Gamecocks’ offense and special teams much more potent in 2018. The Gamecocks start spring practice February 28.
