Will Muschamp apologizes, offers tickets to country star after press conference song mixup
SEC Media Days always kicks off with a lot of excitement and energy, especially this year with Bret Bielema being the first coach to speak at the podium. By day four, however, there’s a lot less energy at the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover, Ala. In his second trip to Media Days as South Carolina’s head coach, Will Muschamp did his best to fix that. While there’s no replacing Steve Spurrier for press conference entertainment, Coach Boom is no slouch at the podium.
During his opening statement, Muschamp addressed a reporter he knows well, Pat Dooley of the Gainesville Sun, in a setup to get some laughs.
Pat Dooley, what’s up? You remind me of that Josh Turner song, “You Look Like I Need a Drink.”
There was one problem. The song Muschamp quoted is sung by Justin Moore, not Josh Turner. The country hitmaker and Arkansas fan noticed, calling out Muschamp on Twitter for the mistake.
@CoachWMuschamp https://t.co/mrp0AsVqsw hey coach. I'm Justin Moore. Actually, I sing "you look like I need a drink."

Muschamp apologized and told Moore to come to the game between the Razorbacks and Gamecocks on Oct. 7.

We’ll see if Moore takes him up on the offer come October. In the meantime, we enjoyed the tweets.
Gold! We laughed about that during the presser, Justin. Keep making great music, sir, or #SomebodyElseWill.
