Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley has landed another top quarterback. On Saturday night, Caleb Williams announced his pledge to the Sooners live on CBS Sports HQ. He picked OU over fellow finalists LSU and Maryland.

On the 247Sports Composite, the Gonzaga (Washington, DC) standout is not only the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback but also rated No. 4 overall nationally (ahead of all pro-style quarterback prospects) and the No. 102 recruit of all time. At a regional version of “The Opening” last year, Williams posted a 40 time of 4.57 seconds, a 4.12-second shuttle and a 36.30-inch vertical.

Though LSU did not land Williams, the Tigers still have a blue-chip quarterback in their 2021 recruiting class. Marcus High School (Texas) standout Garrett Nussmeier committed to the Tigers back on May 4. Nussmeier is rated 4-stars, the No. 8 pro-style prospect and No. 101 prospect overall nationally in the class.

Williams recently participated in the Elite 11 Finals and was named the camp’s MVP. He will play in the All-American Bowl postseason high school all-star game.
