Appalachian State stunned Texas A&M and the college football world at large on Saturday afternoon, going into Kyle Field and beating the No. 6 Aggies 17-14.

It was yet another big-time win for the Mountaineers, who have consistently been a thorn in the side of Power 5 programs in recent decades.

After the win, though, it was a long night for the Mountaineers. Per ESPN’s Pete Thamel, the Appalachian State team dealt with travel issues and had to sleep in common ares of the hotel they were staying at:

It took them until Sunday morning to get back to Charlotte, meaning there’s still a leg of the trip to go to get home to Boone.

However, after seeing the chaos in Boone on Saturday night following the upset win, perhaps it’s best the Mountaineers players didn’t get caught up in that mayhem!
