Texas A&M AD Ross Bjork responds to Aggie fans disappointed to see Arkansas game return to AT&T Stadium in 2021
Texas A&M fans want to play Arkansas in College Station. Arkansas fans want to play Texas A&M in Fayetteville.
For the vast majority of fans of these two programs, these statements are true.
While the 2020 edition of the annual series will be played in College Station due to the COVID pandemic, it was revealed this week that Arkansas won’t be getting a return home game following this year’s move to Kyle Field. This comes despite the fact that Arkansas AD Hunter Yurachek previously said the Razorbacks would look to host the 2021 game in Fayetteville.
Following the decision to return the game to Arlington’s AT&T Stadium, some Aggies expressed their disappointment on social media.
As Texas A&M AD Ross Bjork points out, the two schools are contractually obligated to keep playing in Arlington through the 2024 season.
After that point, however, it does sound like the game will be returning to campus sites:
Howdy John. We have a contractual obligation to play the games at AT&T Stadium through the 2024 season. The game is at Kyle this year only due to the pandemic. Once the contract is up, I believe all SEC games should be played on campus. Hope this helps.

Here is another response from Bjork:
A contract was signed in 2012 for the game to be played at AT&T Stadium until 2024. The game is at Kyle this year only due to the pandemic. Otherwise we have a contractual obligation to play the games at AT&T through 2024. After that, I believe all SEC games should be on campus.

That may not be the message many fans from each side of this series want to hear but it is what it is at this point.
The next edition of the series is set to take place Saturday night in College Station as Arkansas and Texas A&M are set to kick off from Kyle Field at 6:30 p.m. CT on the SEC Network.
