Jimbo Fisher earned his first victory against Nick Saban in the SEC.

It didn’t happen on the field, but you can but the new Texas A&M coach didn’t mind stealing a coveted Alabama commit.

Four-star defensive tackle and Alabama verbal commit Bobby Brown told 247sports that he decided to stay in state and sign with the Aggies (via Jason Howell).

The Arlington, Texas native was actually originally committed to Texas A&M. Brown then de-committed from the Aggies back in December after Fisher took over and gave his verbal pledge to Alabama.

On Wednesday, that was all for naught. The decision came after a late official visit to College Station last weekend.

Brown is the No. 17 defensive tackle and the No. 182 player overall in the 2018 class. The 6-4, 282-pound defensive tackle gave the Aggies their sixth signed recruit rated 4-stars or better.

Texas A&M currently has the No. 8 class in the SEC and the No. 23 class overall.
