It took a while for 2017 No. 1 overall pick Myles Garrett to make his debut for the Cleveland Browns this year, but he was worth the wait.

In two games, the former Texas A&M star defensive end has three sacks and has lived up to every expectation the Browns could have possibly had for him.

Now, defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is willing to give Garrett even more freedom, telling Cleveland.com that the Browns plan to turn Garrett loose in Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans:

“He played well (vs. the Texans) and he played dominant in a lot of phases, and you’re going to see him play more this week,” Williams said Friday. “It was the next step and I was holding my breath it wasn’t going to set him back, and it hasn’t set him back. He’s had a very good week of practice, so we’re turning him loose.”

The Browns are currently 0-6, so they don’t have a lot to lose moving forward. However, they’ll want to see what they have in Garrett, so giving him free reign to go after quarterbacks is a good idea.

If Garrett can stay healthy and keep racking up sacks, he could end up winning the Defensive Rookie of the Year award, even after missing the first four games.
