Texas A&M coach Jimbo Fisher was asked about Georgia RB D’Andre Swift and he said it’s easier to list what he doesn’t do well.

“The best thing he does is stand on the sideline,” Fisher said on the SEC media teleconference. “He accelerates and speeds up when he has to, catches the ball well, runs in the tackles, pass blocks well… he is one of the best running backs in America.”

The game this week in Athens will feature two veteran quarterbacks. Fisher said Georgia QB Jake Fromm is very good and very smart, a winner, and can also make plays with his legs.

In terms of QB Kellen Mond, Fisher said the quarterback has had a tremendous affect on the team.

“The affect he has on his team with his mental makeup, he is a guy you want to follow… he works hard, the kids love him, he is very competitive,” Fisher said. “If he has to take a hit to make a throw, he does it… all the great quarterbacks do that.”

Fisher said in light of A&M’s first trip to Athens since joining the SEC, there should be more rotation with the schedule, but the league would do what’s best.

Here’s what else Fisher said on the call:

  • Coaches call-in show, do you like that? I do enjoy it, I enjoy interacting with the fans in a relaxed setting, I enjoy it a lot.
  • Do people ever cross the line there? Yeah, that’s part of it. People are usually nothing brash or over the top but that’s part of the business… I think it’s good.
  • On Ole Miss-MSU matchup: They both gave us problems… the young quarterback is really athletic… MSU, we played better offensively that day, but so did they… it should be a great game.
