Texas A&M lost a stunner at home Saturday to Appalachian State, 17-14.

The Aggies will look to bounce back from the upset loss against Miami on Saturday night in College Station in one of the biggest games on this week’s schedule.

While college football analysts and observers are ready to write A&M off, Aggies coach Jimbo Fisher isn’t going to overreact to a single loss.

“You coach a long time, that happens to you. … You go back to defeats you had,” said Fisher during the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday. “I remember when I was at LSU as a coordinator, we lost to UAB. … It’s happened in different places and different scenarios over the years. … That’s part of the business. … Big thing about it is you can’t let 1 (loss) become 2.”

That doesn’t mean, however, that there won’t be some changes for Texas A&M in the weeks ahead.

But at least on Wednesday, Fisher declined to discuss anything specific, including whether or not Max Johnson might get a shot at quarterback.

“We’re repping our guys,” Fisher said. “I’m not going to elaborate on what guys are repping with what groups. … We’re looking at everything.”

The No. 24 Aggies and No. 13 Hurricanes meet at 9 p.m. (ET) on Saturday on ESPN. Texas A&M is currently a 5.5-point favorite.
