It sounds like Johnny Manziel is going to be just fine.

According to the former Texas A&M quarterback, he recently had an unexpected reaction to an increased dosage of lithium. According to Manziel, he takes lithium to deal with his bipolar disorder.

TMZ Sports earlier reported that Manziel was hospitalized briefly and released following an adverse reaction to medication. This apparently occurred following his participation in a golf outing hosted by his former college teammate Mike Evans.

He shared this update Tuesday afternoon on his Instagram account:

“Thank you everyone for your concern and kind messages. Unfortunately I had a reaction to an increased dosage in Lithium which I take for my Bipolar disorder.”

“It was a scary moment and I’m especially grateful for the staff at the hospital and all that they’ve done in the last 24 hours.”
