Even though Texas A&M blew a 44-10 lead against UCLA on Sunday night, RBs Trayveon Williams and Keith Ford had huge games.

Williams ran for a whopping 203 yards and two touchdowns and Ford added 114 yards and three scores in the 45-44 collapse.

On Tuesday, Sumlin — who was happy to talk about anything other than his job — said he’d take Ford and Williams over any other running back tandem in the country:

Obviously, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory didn’t do anything to take Sumlin off the hot seat, but there’s still hope for the Aggies this year.

On Saturday, they’ll return to College Station to take on Nicholls State, which should be an easy win. The game kicks off at 6 p.m. Central time and can be seen on ESPNU.
