Despite being projected as a first-round pick by some analysts, former Texas A&M WR Christian Kirk fell to the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft, where he was eventually selected by the Arizona Cardinals.

It’s a solid place for Kirk to land, as the Cardinals aren’t very deep at the receiver position behind future Hall-of-Famer Larry Fitzgerald.

At least one current Hall of Famer is excited to see what Kirk can do in the desert, as legendary RB Barry Sanders tweeted his congratulations to Kirk on Monday:

Kirk can also contribute as a kickoff returner, so there are multiple ways he can affect games this fall. He’ll be feeling the pressure to make a few big plays, as Sanders will be watching.
