Heading into the start of the 2020 season, Texas A&M was a team that was hit hard by opt-outs during training camp.

In recent weeks, with the Aggies surging and playing their best football in years, Jimbo Fisher expressed that his program not only respected the tough decisions made by some of his players but noted he would welcome any of those players back to the program with open arms.

While those comments may have excited the 12th Man, we can now rule out linebacker Anthony Hines’ return in College Station.

On Monday, the Aggie linebacker officially declared for the 2021 NFL Draft, which comes following his decision to opt-out during the latest A&M training camp.

Hines started all 13 games for Texas A&M in 2019, registering 73 tackles and 10.5 tackles for loss during that season. Hines ranked second on the team in tackles last season.
