This isn’t the kind of headline programs want out there, and it’s certainly not the type of story alumni want to read after the investment that has been made in a program like Texas A&M.

According to an anonymous survey that 247Sports conducted, Texas A&M is the worst recruiting visit, according to 16 Dallas-area recruits with Power Five offers.

The recruits were asked which school puts on the best visit, and the Aggies were listed at 5 percent. Then, the recruits were asked which school puts on the worst visit. Texas A&M was tied with Texas State at 20 percent for the worst.

“Texas A&M was the worst,” one athlete said in the survey. “They didn’t even know who I was.”

Despite what this survey says, Texas A&M has continued to recruit well during Kevin Sumlin’s time. Over the last five years, the Aggies have signed four classes in the top 12, including the No. 5 overall class in 2014. With so much happening at Baylor and Texas, the Aggies stand to gain some talented prospects in the state.

Yes, everyone is waiting to see what happens this season. With a weak finish to 2016, everyone is waiting to see what 2017 holds for Sumlin and his team. Some are saying Sumlin sits on the hottest seat in the SEC this season, and the weak November finishes are rather head scratching.

Over the last several years, Texas A&M has had as much or more talent than anyone it has faced in the division or conference. So, obviously, some recruits are taking notice of the Aggies, because Sumlin has been signing talented classes.
