The Texas A&M Aggies are losing some depth at the wide receiver position.

According to a report out of College Station on Wednesday, a true freshman receiver plans to transfer and has been given permission to contact other schools.

Per 247Sports reporter Brian Perroni, freshman WR Montel Parker is exploring his transfer options and will leave the Aggies’ program:

Coming out of high school, 247Sports had Parker rated as a 4-star receiver — the No. 50 receiver in the 2018 class and the No. 35 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

He was moved to safety a while back, but it remains to be seen if he’ll continue his career as a defensive back or a receiver moving forward.
