Bradley Chubb is widely considered the top pass-rusher in the 2018 draft class.

At this time last year, Myles Garrett was his class’ top pass-rusher. The former Texas A&M star was not only the top pass-rusher, he was also considered the top overall prospect. That’s why the Cleveland Browns made him the No. 1 overall pick.

With the Browns holding the No. 1 overall pick again, it seems like a certainty that the former NC State star will not follow in Garrett’s footsteps and that he’ll likely go somewhere in the top 6.

But according to ESPN NFL analyst Louis Riddick, Chubb is the better prospect of the two.

“I’m of the belief that if last year, you’re stacking (Chubb) up play for play with Myles Garrett and they’re both coming out at the same time, I’m taking Bradley Chubb ahead of Myles Garrett,” Riddick said on SportsCenter. “I think he’s that good.”

Physically, they’re basically the same at roughly 6-4, 270 pounds. They also ran nearly identical 40-yard dashes at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Garrett was knocked by some during the pre-draft process for having his lowest sack total of his career in his final college season, but he still posted better career sack numbers than Chubb.

Who will be the better pro? Riddick and the rest of us we’ll have to wait a few years to make a definitive call on that.
