The Texas A&M world was rocked on Tuesday afternoon by a report from USA TODAY, which detailed allegations of wrongdoing made by former Texas A&M LB Santino Marchiol.

Now that people have had a chance to read the full report, analysts and former players are weighing in on the situation in College Station.

As you can see in the tweet below, former Texas A&M QB Trevor Knight thinks Marchiol’s allegations against coach Jimbo Fisher and his staff were poorly timed and reek of sour grapes:

Knight didn’t play for Jimbo Fisher, so it is notable that he has chosen to so strongly defend Fisher’s staff.

We still don’t know what will come of Marchiol’s allegations, or if he’ll even be allowed to play right away at Arizona, but this story is just getting started.
