Texas A&M relied on the transfer portal to find its next tight end Garrett Miller, one day after Jake Johnson announced his transfer to North Carolina.

Miller comes to College Station after spending the last 5 seasons at Purdue. Miller brings a lot of experience with him to Texas A&M, playing in 33 games. He missed all of last season with an injury in fall camp.

The tight end led all others at the position for the Boilermakers with 243 receiving yards and accounted for 2 touchdowns this season. His receiving numbers were the 4th-highest on the team.

There was some room at tight end for the Aggies after Johnson decided to move on. He decided to transfer to North Carolina to play with his brother Max, who started for Texas A&M under center this year.

Mike Elko has been busy in the portal lately, securing commitments from defensive back Trey Jones and wideout Cyrus Allen. Things keep rolling for Elko is his return to the Aggies.
