Texas A&M’s Tyrel Doson wants to go head-to-head against Dez Bryant on the football field — the virtual football field, that is.

The Aggies junior linebacker confirmed to reporters Monday that he’s trying to arrange a game of Madden with Bryant, a former standout receiver for the Dallas Cowboys who’s currently a free agent. And as you can see in the video below tweeted by Texas A&M beat writer Travis L. Brown, Dodson is quite confident in his abilities.

“He’s running from it. I’m trying to give Dez the work in Madden. He’s running from me right now,” Dodson told reporters before boldly claiming, “I’ll let him pick my team, and I’ll still beat him.”

They’re currently working out a time to play, but Dodson thinks it should happen soon. They have a mutual friend in Aggies sophomore quarterback Nick Starkel, Dodson’s roommate.

Dodson originally issued his challenge to Bryant last Saturday night after Bryant tweeted that he was looking for online opponents in Madden. Starkel responded to the tweet with a suggestion that Bryant should play against Dodson, which resulted in the following exchange:

After Dodson challenged Bryant on Monday, the former Cowboys receiver finally responded.
