The best punter in college football is staying put.

Texas A&M’s Braden Mann will return to College Station for his senior season, he said during a TexAgs.com’s radio show Friday.

His decision comes just one day after he won the Ray Guy Award, which is presented annually to the nation’s best punter. As such, Mann could’ve been selected in the 2019 NFL Draft, but he ultimately chose to play out his eligibility instead of turning pro early.

Mann has rewritten NCAA record books with his leg this season, starting with a single-game high gross punt average of 60.8 yards against Alabama in September. Last month against UAB, he set a another record by booting his 14th punt of 60 or more yards this year.

On top of all that, Mann’s average punt of 51.15 yards is nearly a full yard more than the record single-season average set in 1997.

Now that he’s playing with the Aggies for another year, there’s no telling how many more records Mann will hold when his college career finally ends.
