The Texas A&M Aggies face quite a challenge in Jimbo Fisher’s first year at the helm of the program.

That’s because they host the Clemson Tigers in non-conference play and have road trips to Alabama and Auburn on the schedule as well.

Ahead of the 2018 season, ESPN’s FPI rankings predicted the Aggies’ toughest games, and it will come as no surprise that the Week 4 road trip to Tuscaloosa checks in as the most difficult. Below, you can see the five toughest games on the schedule:

  • Week 4 at Alabama — 15.8%
  • Week 10 at Auburn — 19.0%
  • Week 2 vs. Clemson — 24.3%
  • Week 9 at Mississippi State — 38.0%
  • Week 7 at South Carolina — 48.5%

Interestingly, the road trip to Auburn is rated as harder than the home game against Clemson. Road games at Mississippi State and at South Carolina contribute to what is an absolutely brutal road slate in SEC play.

As far as easiest games go, the Aggies’ season-opener against Northwestern State on Thursday, Aug. 30, gives them a 99.6-percent chance at victory. Week 3 vs. Florida A&M (95.5 percent) and Week 12 vs. UAB (95.1 percent) are also very winnable games for the Aggies.
