Lake Dallas, Texas CB Koby Boyce is committed to the Texas Longhorns. Judging by one of his recent tweets, however, he should have pledged to an SEC West school.

Texas A&M commit Derrick Tucker of Manvel, Texas doesn’t think the Longhorns actually want to play the Aggies:

The two Lone Atar State powers last met in 2011, before Texas A&M joined the SEC. Renewing the rivalry as a non-conference affair has been a popular media topic over the years, particularly in the offseason. Former UT coach Charlie Strong said in June that the two schools were working on an arrangement. In July, Texas AD Mike Perrin said the game would be played again “at some point.”

Since joining the SEC, Texas A&M has not established a permanent non-conference rival. The Aggies have scheduled season-opening meetings with Power 5 opponents, such as Arizona State last year and UCLA this season, but have been closing the season with LSU.

For Boyce and Tucker, the best chance of Texas vs. Texas A&M on the field during their careers would be in a bowl game.
