When Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill went down with a leg injury this preseason, the Dolphins signed veteran Jay Cutler to take over.

Now, though, Cutler is likely set to retire once again, leaving the Dolphins with either Tannehill or a quarterback they acquire through the 2018 NFL Draft.

Should the Dolphins draft a quarterback? Denver Broncos DE/LB Von Miller doesn’t think so, telling PalmBeachPost.com that he thinks Tannehill, his former Texas A&M teammate, can handle the franchise quarterback job:

“I think he has it in him,” Miller said after a Pro Bowl practice on Saturday. “But he’s shown it before. He’s shown that he is a franchise quarterback. He’s just got to stay healthy. That’s the name of the game for everybody.”

Indeed, Tannehill has had a couple of good years, but he just suffered a devastating leg injury prior to the 2017 season.

If he comes back healthy and strong, the Dolphins should be in good shape at quarterback, just like Miller said.
