Prior to last season, then-Texas A&M AD Scott Woodward brought Jimbo Fisher to College Station with a massive 10-year contract.

This offseason, Woodward left to take the job at his hometown LSU, leaving Fisher behind at A&M.

However, when asked about Woodward’s departure, Fisher had nothing but nice things to say. As you can see in the video below, he compliments Woodward while saying he plans to be at LSU for years to come:

“I love Scott,” he said. “I think Scott’s gonna do a great job. I wish him well, all but one game each year. … In this business, change happens. People can introduce to a place, introduce you to somebody. … Scott’s one of the reasons I came out here … but after being here, this place is phenomenal. I plan on being here a long time.”

That’ll put A&M fans’ minds at ease, and it does seem like Fisher is building a strong program in College Station.
