As Texas A&M RB Trayveon Williams prepares for Sunday night’s game against UCLA, at least he can do so knowing his family is safe from Hurricane Harvey.

The talented sophomore said his family was among those trapped in the Houston area as the flood waters rose, but thanks to a Coast Guard helicopter, they are now safe and sound.

In the video below, Williams says his family has been safely evacuated to a shelter, but their house isn’t in great shape at the moment:

With the game against the Bruins coming up, Williams said he’s trying to focus on the task at hand and pray that God will take care of his family.

“It’s game week,” he said in the video. “I’m not going to have that burden on me. I have to get ready mentally and physically for that. I’m just praying, staying with my God and just hoping for the best.”

As a freshman in 2016, Williams ran for 1,057 yards and eight touchdowns. He’ll be expected to play an even bigger role this year for a Texas A&M squad that still hasn’t announced its starting quarterback.

The Bruins and Aggies will take the field on Sunday, Sept. 3, at 6:30 p.m. Central time. The game can be seen on FOX.
