Tennessee is entering this week’s game against Alabama in a place it hasn’t been in 11 SEC games. The Vols are coming off a win.

The Crimson Tide defense is beginning to notice something different about Tennessee QB Jarrett Guarantano, according to LB Mack Wilson, who tweeted late Sunday night that Guarantano has “way more” confidence this year compared to last year.

Guarantano had a career game against Auburn in a win on Saturday, which snapped an 11-game SEC losing streak. He passed 21-for-32 for 328 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions. Guarantano’s previous best game this season was against West Virginia when he was 19-for-25 for 172 yards and a TD. He also had two scores against Georgia.

Last year against Alabama, Guarantano was 9-for-16 passing 44 yards and an interception. Wilson had one tackle against the Vols last year, and is tied for third on the Tide this year with 32 tackles.

Saturday’s game is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
