The Tennessee Volunteers picked up a big win in the SEC Tournament semifinals on Saturday, taking down a tough Kentucky squad to win the season series against the Wildcats 2-1.

However, there was still another game to go after that one, and the Vols weren’t ready for it, losing 84-64 to Auburn in the tournament final.

Still, the Vols enter this week’s NCAA Tournament as a No. 2 seed (the top No. 2 seed, in fact), so they could still make a deep run. On Monday, college hoops expert Seth Greenberg said he’s not worried about the Vols, who were just emotionally spent after the semifinals:

Yes, that may be true, but Tennessee’s performance against the Tigers (their second loss to Auburn in eight days) was still ugly.

They shouldn’t have much problem with No. 15 Colgate in Round 1, but after that, we’ll see if the Vols can shake off Sunday’s blowout loss.
