That didn't take long: Tennessee reportedly lands its next athletic director

It took only a few days for Tennessee to land a qualified athletic director to replace Phillip Fulmer.

It was announced on Monday that Fulmer was out and a search for a new AD on Rocky Top would begin immediately. Who knew Tennessee would have a hire made by the weekend?

Well, the search for Tennessee’s next head football coach can begin in earnest now as the Volunteers are hiring former Central Florida athletic director, Danny White.

News of White’s hire in Knoxville was first reported by Brent Hubbs of Volquest. Before being named AD at UCF, White served in the same role at Buffalo.

The early reactions to this hire suggest Tennessee is getting in good AD in White:

Can confirm USA Today report that UCF's Danny White will be the next AD at Tennessee. They made him an offer he couldn't refuse. He's expected to start searching for a coach immediately. His hires of Scott Frost, Josh Heupel, Lance Leipold, Nate Oats and Bobby Hurley stood out.
