Elite 5-star OL Wanya Morris says he chose Tennessee to be 'part of a dynasty'
The Tennessee Volunteers made a huge addition to their 2019 class back in May when 5-star OT Wanya Morris committed to the Vols.
Now, as he prepares for his senior season in high school, he’ll be making his final improvements before heading off to Knoxville next year.
In an interview with GwinnettPrepSports.com, Morris explained why he chose the Vols, saying he wanted to be part of something special and help start a dynasty:
“Tennessee, I just wanted to be a part of something different,” Morris said. “I changed my mind to go to Tennessee the night before I committed actually because I just wanted to be different and have my name part of a dynasty that’s going to rebuild to win another national championship.”
Morris is just the kind of player who can help the Vols turn things around. Per the 247Sports composite, he’s the No. 8 overall player in the country and the top offensive tackle. He’s also the No. 2 overall prospect from the state of Georgia.
