Though many things are changing in the life of former Tennessee running back Jalen Hurd, one constant will remain — trainer Robert Paulele.

Paulele said it’s not his place to discuss Hurd’s next move, but did tell the Knoxville News Sentinel that he’s getting plenty of inquiries about the talented running back:

“I have about 10 NFL draft-potential players coming in this year and I am working with a lot of running backs on the NFL draft board and I’ve been in contact with some NFL GMs that have inquired about and are trying to fish around with Jalen’s next move,” said Paulele, who is the running backs coach at Saddleback College in Mission Viejo, Calif.

However, whether Hurd ends up transferring or heading to the NFL, Paulele said he’s excited to see what the future holds for the former Volunteer.

“I would say not to turn your shoulder or close your eyes with Jalen’s next move,” Paulele said. “Whether or not I agree with it, I think he will be OK.”

Hurd is still currently enrolled at Tennessee, so speculation on his future is just that at the moment — speculation.
