Jalin Hyatt had a strong showing at the NFL Combine Saturday before he pulled out of drills.

Hyatt felt some tightness in his hamstring while doing position work and shut things down. Per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Hyatt looks to do those drills later this month when Tennessee holds its Pro Day.

When he was able to go, Hyatt had an impressive day in Indianapolis. He posted a 4.40 40-yard dash time. Some were expecting a sub-4.4 time, but Hyatt’s speed will definitely play in the NFL. Even on a 4.41 run, the NFL Network showed that Hyatt was still faster than what Julio Jones and Justin Jefferson ran at their Combines.

When it came time for the vertical leap and broad jump, Hyatt was one of the top performers.

Where will Hyatt go in the NFL Draft?

Hyatt has been mocked as a 20-something first-round pick, possibly even 31 to the Kansas City Chiefs, per NFL Mock Draft Database. His Combine showing should only help his stock.

A common social media reaction has been people expecting a faster 40 time than 4.40. Perhaps Hyatt can get into the 4.3s at Tennessee’s Pro Day later this month.

During a TV report, Rapoport relayed that USC’s Jordan Addison was considered to be the potential first wide receiver off the board. Addison’s best 40 time was only 4.49 and he did not measure well. Hyatt likely moved up in the draft, assuming he can produce a complete performance with similar results in Knoxville.
