Jordan Beck added to Tennessee’s swagger on Sunday night, as he contributed a key 9th-inning hit en route to a 6-run inning as the Vols came from behind to beat Georgia Tech, 9-6, and advance to the Super Regionals.

Five Vols drove in runs in that eventful ninth inning as the first 8 batters of the inning reached base. Beck tied the game with an RBI double, and used 1 finger to celebrate the big hit as he rounded first base. Later, Trey Lipscomb, Christian Moore, Evan Russell and Cortland Lawson all followed with at-bats that produced runs to give the Big Orange a 9-4 lead.

It was clear Beck had an emotional release, as the Vols sprung to life and got set to head to the Supers.

For the second straight game, the Vols erased a four-run deficit after they fell behind in the early going, this time thanks to a sterling pitching performance from Georgia Tech starter Zach Maxwell.

Tennessee will host its second consecutive super regional in Knoxville this weekend as it hosts Notre Dame, who won the Statesboro Regional on Sunday with a win over Texas Tech.
