Joshua Dobbs has played well this preseason for the Cleveland Browns, and coach Kevin Stefanski has taken notice.

“I’m proud of Josh Dobbs, he’s done a really nice job,” Stefanski said. “He’s somebody who’s worked very, very hard from the beginning when he walked in the door with us in the spring through now, he plays well in these games. He’s a very, very accountable teammate so very pleased with Josh Dobbs.”

Cleveland had a late comeback attempt fall short, but Dobbs connected with TE Miller Forristall on a 6-yard touchdown, and then added a two-point conversion rush from Dobbs.

Dobbs was 11-for-20 passing for 89 yards in the game.

Dobbs is competing with Josh Rosen to be Jacoby Brissett’s backup.

In an earlier game against the Eagles, the former Tennessee star finished 14-of-20 for 141 yards, with 4 carries for 47 yards with a 3-yard touchdown. He added a 36-yard run, as he side-stepped tacklers in the backfield and ran down the sideline.
